refreshing my perspective on the Gaia community

I spend my time right now developing skills in Chinese Medicine (I'm in the midst of getting a Masters in TCM and working toward licensure for acupuncture).  I am being trained to use needles, herbs, massage, and qigong in my treatments (plus guasha, cupping, and moxabustion).  I have a keen interest in Five Element Acupuncture, as well, and integrate its perspectives. 

I have a backround in personal training and combine that in my my internship as an alternative healthcare practitioner.  I love working with soma, or the body, since it is a house of wisdom.  In many Eastern and Western traditions, we are recognized as having many bodies which correspond to states of being as well.  This is where integral philosophy comes in, and a truly integrally-informed practice is what I strive for.  I see a new medicine being developed, and am working on finding a personal way into how my gifts weave into an individual style while I learn how this field overlays with other fields as well.
